David Cage is the founder and President of Quantic Dream.

While working as a professional musician in 1993, David Cage founded Totem Interactive, a company that specialised in sound and music productions. During this period, he worked as a freelance provider of soundtracks for games produced by Sony, Psygnosis, Virgin, Cryo and Sega, as well as writing some science-fiction short stories and novels.

After founding Quantic Dream in 1997, he acted as Writer and Game Designer on Omikron: The Nomad Soul, Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls.

Cage has been quoted in interviews as stating that one of his primary interests in storytelling is that of schizophrenia. He explains this as the origin of the body-swapping in The Nomad Soul, and the 'mental status' meter in Fahrenheit.
