The Necropolis of Hamestaga'n, also known as the City of the Dead, is the last known resting place of the Book of Nout. It is located in the catacombs under Omikron. Hamestaga'n can be accessed through the Azkeel city of Mayerem.

Etymology

As described in the 9th century Zoroastrian text Dadestan-i Denig, hamēstagān is a neutral place or state for the departed souls of those whose good deeds and bad deeds were equal in life. Here these souls await Judgment Day. Meanwhile, those who did mostly good experience bliss and those who did mostly evil suffer torment. Dadestan-i Denig was written in Persia when Islam was replacing Zoroastrianism as the majority religion.
