Quantic Dream is a Parisian videogame developer founded in 1997 by David Cage. They have their own in-house motion capture studio that they have used for all of their games and rent out to other companies.
Their first game was The Nomad Soul, released on PC and Sega Dreamcast from the 1st of November 1999. Concept art for a sequel to the game The Nomad Soul: Exodus was later posted on the developer's website, but removed soon after, followed by the project's cancellation. The sequel was later revived under the working title KARMA, but ended up being cancelled and/or postponed once again.
Their second game, Fahrenheit, was released for PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox on the 16th of September 2005. Their next game Heavy Rain was released exclusively for Playstation 3 on the 23rd of February 2010, and utilises extensive facial motion capture.
